What is a Vision Board?

A vision board is a visual collage of images and words that represent your goals and dreams.

Normally it includes collages of cut-out pictures from magazines, words, quotes or affirmations that help inspire you to manifest your dreams and keep you on track on your life goals.

Thus, some people might also call it a Dream board, Goals board, Inspiration board  or Manifesting Vision Board.

A vision board is a very useful manifestation tool especially when you have multiple goals in every aspect of your life where you don’t have the resources or means to achieve them…

…which helps you to manifest the fullest of life.

Yet, making a vision board is super easy and fun! 🙂

What is the purpose of a vision board?

The purpose of a Vision board aims to give you a clear direction for what you want to achieve in several aspects of your life

When you create a physical vision board, you can even touch what represents your vision.

The more you can see, sense and touch your goals, the faster and easier you can manifest it by the Law of Attraction.

Does a Vision Board Actually Work?

Vision boards provide you with a daily visual reminder of your dreams and goals.

Similar to visualization techniques, the reason that vision boards work so great is because you visually see them every day.

According to Forbes, approximately 25% of the people keep their commitment to their resolutions after 30 days, and by the end of the year, only 8% accomplish them.

This is why a vision board is incredibly helpful.

In fact, celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Steve Harvey, Ellen Degeneres, Katy Perry, Jim Carrey and more… have used vision boards to achieve the successes they wanted.

For myself, I could say about 70% of the things in my vision board have been achieved since I have been using it starting from 2016.

And I know I will keep on manifesting the rest of it.

And I guarantee it will do the same to you too. 🙂

How to Make a Vision Board for Manifestation?

Now, if you decide to create a physical vision board, then you will need to first prepare a cork board or poster board with an appropriate size for you to put in somewhere in your house or office.

And if you are going to make a digital vision board, either using an APP, online platform, the background of your laptop or your phone, or even screensaver…

…you can simply simply save some picture from the Internet.

Then, you can also use an online free tool called Canva to create your own version of a vision board with specific dimensions.

1. Goals & Dreams to Achieve / Things You Want to Acquire

First of all, spend some time to contemplate and think of a list of goals and dreams that you want to achieve in 1 year, 3 years and 5 years.

It doesn’t matter how hard or how unrealistic these goals are to be accomplished.

As long as you feel good about it, you put it in your list.

You can also categorize it into different segments of your life. E.g. Finance, Love & Relationship, Career or Health & Fitness… etc.

2. Gather Your Pictures

Cutting out pictures from magazines is absolutely handy. You can also ask your friends or neighbors if they have any old magazines left over.

If you dream of a specific model of a car or a luxury watch, you can cut it out from a magazine.

Or if you want to achieve a specific fitness goal, you can clip a picture of a body that is close to your goal.

And if you have a printer at home, you can basically download, save or screen capture any images online from social media(like Instagram & Pinterest) that you are fond of and put it into your own collection.

Don’t forget you can also do some screen captures on YouTube. It can be a great source of good images.

Now it’s the fun part. Just put everything you got and put it on the board.

Organize it a bit if you want to make it enjoyable to look at.

It’s also okay to keep it messy. Your vision board, your style.

You can also put your picture of your own face on the collages to make it more personalized. (And fun!)

4. Use Affirmation or Inspirational Quotes to Strengthen the Feeling

Positive emotion is a very important ingredient for manifestation.

I am sure you can induce a great deal of good feelings while you are just looking at the images on your vision board.

Don’t stop there!

Putting some Positive Affirmations or some Inspirational Quotes that really motivates you on the board to further strengthen the feeling.

So everyday when you are looking at your vision board you will be more anchored with positive energy, and bring your vibrational energy to next level.

5. Put Your Vision Board at Where You Can See Everyday

Hang your vision board somewhere you would at least be able to see it once a day…

…walls in your bedroom, living room, doorway, fridge door…

Any place that is enough to draw your attention for 30 seconds on the board would be perfect.

If you are using an online / digital vision board, you can put it as the background of your laptop or your phone.

If you have tons of pictures and multiple vision boards, you can even put it as your screensaver so they can play as a slideshow.

You can set your goals as specific as you can in a statement. E.g. ‘I will be making US$10,000 a month by 31st Dec 2022.’

If you want to make your goal statement easier to tune in, you can try to write it as ‘ Today is 31st Dec 2022, and I am now making US$10,000 a month.’

If you are feeling a sense of stress with the date, you can set it a later date or even skip it. Afterall, all we need is to tune in with the feeling of achieving these goals.

Here are different aspects of goals for your inspiration:

  • Financial goals

A word itself has its own power and energy.

That’s a fact.

By simply putting some of the basic words like ‘LOVE’ , ‘JOY’ , ‘PEACE’… etc, on your vision board, it could already set a vibrant tune or good vibration for the board.

Guess what?

You can even put Angel Numbers that represent your desire on the board, like 222, 333

And of course, if a symbol gives you a specific meaning and feeling to you, don’t hesitate to incorporate it on your vision board.

E.g.: ∞, ♡, ↑, ☮

Needless to say, if you find some symbols that have special power, like some ancient symbols that attract prosperity and wealth, don’t hesitate to put it on your board.
